MEDIATION SERVICES PROGRAM (MSP)

MEDIATION SERVICES PROGRAM (MSP)

The Baltimore Federal Executive Board's (FEB's), Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Council has established a Mediation Services Program (MSP) that provides no cost mediation assistance to its member organizations.  If you have a workplace dispute, EEO complaint, or grievance within your organization that lends itself to informal resolution through the mediation process, the Baltimore FEB can help.

To receive mediator referrals, the organization must complete an Agency Request to Participate.  To serve as a roster mediator and provide mediation services to agencies, the federal employee must complete a Lead (MS WORD) or Co Mediator (MS WORD) Profile.  Requirements to mediate are 40 hours of basic mediation skills training and two letters of recommendation.  For Lead Mediators, experience conducting at least 3 mediations is required.  Roster mediators are expected to mediate two cases a year. See accompanying forms.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The ADR Council will soon be organizing a one-week (August 31, 2015 to September 4, 2015) ADR Shared Neutrals training. This training will be provided by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).  Cost is expected to be $295 per person provided we have the 30 spaces maximum required.  Cost is $440 per person if we only reach a minimum of 20).  FMCS will be handling the registrations.
